A Congregational Meeting will be held on Sunday, December 10, at approximately 12:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to present the budget for 2018.

Christmas FLOCK December 16th
The 2017 Christmas FLOCK (Fun-Loving Older Covenant Kids):
Saturday, December 16 at 6 pm at the church building. This is a much-anticipated, fun-filled pot luck and white elephant gift exchange. It is for our 18 and older members only, but a nursery will be provided. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the foyer to sign up to bring food items. To participate in the “white elephant” gift exchange each person should bring a wrapped gift. The gift can be something found around the home, a “re-gift” item, or something you have purchased. Please do NOT spend more than $15 for a purchased gift.
Nursery Volunteers Needed
A new nursery schedule is being made. Please consider volunteering for this important ministry.
Please let Elizabeth Albright know ASAP if you would you like to volunteer for nursery during SS or Worship. Please indicate if you can volunteer for Christmas Eve. Also, if you already volunteer, please let her know if you need to alter how often you’re scheduled and if there are dates you know you are not available.
First Sunday Fellowship Meal Dec. 3rd.
Reminder: We will have our monthly fellowship meal tomorrow, Dec. 3rd., after worship. Please bring a main dish and either a side, salad, or dessert. A good rule of thumb for the amount to bring is to bring enough for your own family and a guest.
First Sunday Food Collection
Food Assistance Request: On the first Sunday of each month, the SRPC Diaconate is collecting canned and dry goods for the local food pantry. Please bring an item or two to donate to the local food pantry and place it in the bin in the foyer.
Ladies Tuesday Bible Study not meeting 11/21
The Ladies Bible Study that meets Tuesday mornings at 10am will not be meeting this week on November 21. It will resume on November 28th for a few more weeks until we break for the Christmas season.
Pie and Praise
Pie and Praise on Sunday, November 26 beginning at 7:00 PM. It will be about 45 minutes of singing, testimonies of God’s faithfulness, and prayer followed by pie and fellowship.
Holiday Palettes and Palates: Dec. 9th at 3pm
Holiday Palettes and Palates Paint Night for Adults and Teens 16 or older: December 9, 3-6pm. Everyone bring a favorite holiday goodie and a beverage to share. Paper goods will be provided. Please sign up as soon as possible for planning purposes. Contact Laurie Mang if you would like to attend.
Saturday, October 28, 2017: Parenting Conference Re-Run
There were several people interested in viewing the Paul David Tripp parenting conference again. We will plan to show it again on Saturday, October 28th, from 1-5 pm. We need to know how many will attend so please email Robin Deane as soon as possible if you plan to attend. Please also let her know if you need childcare in order to attend.
October 24, 2017: Ladies Bible Study Cancelled
10th Anniversary Celebration November 4th
This year instead of our fall Harvest Festival community outreach event we are having a Celebration of our church’s 10th anniversary on Saturday, November 4 from 11am-3pm. This event is for all members, regular attenders, their extended families, and other special guests. We do need an accurate count for food planning so please RSVP for your family and any additional guests you wish to bring. You may RSVP via the link in the invitation email sent to you or sign up on the sheet posted on the bulletin board at church.
We will have a meal from 12:00-2:00 and video and praise/sing session from 2:00-3:00. We will have a buffet style meal. Meat, rolls, paper products, condiments, cake and coffee and tea will be provided. Volunteers are needed to bring sides.
There are several other volunteer needs as well:
We need folding chairs for the Anniversary Celebration. We have collected about half of the chairs we need, so if you are able to help by loaning chairs for the Anniversary Celebration, please contact Maria Ettema at rmettema@verizon.net as soon as you are able. We also need 7 rectangular folding tables (like the ones we use for the fellowship meals). If you have folding tables to loan for the day of the celebration, please email Maria Ettema. Be sure to put your name on the bottom of chairs or tables you loan.
We need 12-packs of soda and water for the Anniversary Celebration. There are also several volunteer needs. Please sign up if you are able on the signup sheets on the bulletin board.
