On Saturday, November 6th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Lois Carr will be here to sell handmade African goods (bags, baskets, bracelets, earrings, pot holders, aprons), to support children’s healthcare ministries throughout Kenya. (They make great Christmas gifts!) Bless someone you love, promote a Kenyan artist, and provide healthcare for a child at risk with your purchase of unique jewelry, textiles, and more.
We’ll hold our potluck Missions Banquet On Sunday, March 29th following the worship service! This will be in lieu of our April Fellowship Meal. Between now and the banquet, be sure to check out the table beneath the hallway bulletin board featuring the many missionaries we support. It’s a great way to learn interesting facts about them!
Many of you have had opportunity to meet the DeLong family who have visited SRPC in the past. Matthew is the Reformed University Fellowship – International (RUF-I) campus minister at George Mason University (GMU). RUF-I GMU is a local ministry with global reach. As they welcome students and scholars from around the world to George Mason University by meeting physical needs and building community, they are promoting international friendships, cultural exchange, and, above all, providing a safe environment for them to explore the Christian faith. Please consider supporting this important ministry.
There is currently a matching grant available to RUF-I George Mason University for new giving of up to $10,000. Any new giving submitted by December 31st will be matched up to $10,000. visit https://givetoruf.org/Donate?
Please, also help them get the word out about this matching grant opportunity by liking and sharing this post on social media.

During the February “first Sunday” fellowship meal, the Mission Committee will be hosting their annual Missions Banquet. This will be held after the worship service on February 4. In order to highlight the global nature of Christian missions we would like have a variety of world cuisine for the meal. Please bring your family’s favorite international food –main dish, plus either a side dish or dessert– to share with the church family and hear about God’s work through the missionaries SRPC supports.
The Missions Committee is planning a Missions Banquet for the second Sunday in November (11/8). It will be a covered dish dinner immediately following the worship service. It will replace the usual fellowship meal that we have each month on the first Sunday.
