Our Worship

We live in a busy region and we all have busy lives, but we view worship as our high calling for the week. It is a time to pull away from the busy-ness of our everyday lives…. to slow down… to “Be still and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)

Therefore, it is a great privilege we have to meet together each Sunday morning to glorify the triune God through worship and observance of the Lord’s Supper. It is an outpouring of our joy and thanksgiving for the mercy and grace shown to us by Christ.

Worship at SRPC includes:
– Singing praises to God through praise songs, hymns, and Psalms.
– Scripture Reading
– Preaching of God’s Word
– Prayer
– Confession of Sin
– Confession of Faith
– Giving of Offerings

– Weekly Observance of the Lord’s Supper
-Baptisms
– Occasional special musical anthems provided by the choir, the children’s choir, the children’s bell choir, or other ensembles.

At SRPC we provide a nursery during the worship service for children under the age of three, but we want families to know that all their children, no matter their age, are welcome in our worship service even if they are a little fussy. There is a “cry room” with sound wired in and a view of the sanctuary that parents may use if they feel their little ones are being too disruptive.
