There WILL be a Tuesday Evening Prayer Meeting on Nov. 20, 2018 at 7pm. All are welcome to attend.
At 6:30pm there will be pizza for those who RSVP. There will be a basket for donations to offset the cost of the pizza ($1 per slice is suggested).
Please RSVP to Pastor Mang if you plan to have pizza. Please indicate preferred pizza type (cheese, pepperoni, or veggie) giving the number of people who will want each type. Please, also, let him know if you will need nursery for any of your children during the prayer meeting.
The Session calls for a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at approximately 12:30 p.m. following the morning worship. The purpose of the meeting is to present the budget to the congregation and to act on any proposed recommendations to the terms of the Pastor’s compensation package. Copies of the budget will be sent to the members prior to the meeting.
Ministry Opportunity: The RUFI minister at George Mason University would like to place international students with Christian families for Thanksgiving dinner. If you would be interested in hosting an international student at your home for Thanksgiving meal, please contact Pastor Matthew Delong at matthew.delong@ruf.org. This is a great opportunity to get to know these students and help them to learn about our culture and our faith.

Pie and Praise: Sunday, November 25, 7-8 PM at the church building.
We will have a time of singing, testimonies of God’s faithfulness, prayer, and fellowship.
Please bring a pie or other dessert to share. This is a great way to get rid of any of those leftover desserts hanging around your house after Thanksgiving.
Ladies Book Club will NOT meet Thursday, Nov. 8.
Next meeting will be Dec. 6th at 6:30pm to finish our discussion of Augustine’s Confessions. We will meet at Susan Shirasago’s home. For details or directions please contact Maria Ettema.
Please note that we WILL have a fellowship meal on Sunday, November 4th after the worship service. The previous announcement that it was cancelled was incorrect.
Please bring a main dish and one of the following: a side, a salad, or a dessert.
It is our goal for members and regular attenders to bring enough food so that any visitors to our church can stay for the fellowship meal, even if they did not bring food. A good rule of thumb is to bring enough food to feed your own family plus one guest.
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday November 4th at 2am.
Remember to set your clocks back one hour Saturday night before you go to bed. We are looking forward to having everyone on time and especially well-rested this coming Lord’s Day.
